9:38 runs and promotes conferences for three groups of people each year. The first conference of the calendar year is for those who are currently working in churches as Ministry Trainees. The Workers’ Conferences (3rd and 24th March 2018) and the Students' Conferences (which will next take place in Autumn 2018) are for people who are considering the possibility of paid gospel ministry. They are designed for men and women who would value more information and guidance on the nature and demands of such work.

What to expect

Talks outline what the Bible says about ministry and who should be engaged in it together with seminars which cover a wide range of issues. In the past these have included: international mission; marriage, singleness and ministry; youth and children’s work; Free Church ministry; Anglican ministry; women’s ministry and ministry in Urban Priority Areas.

There are lots of opportunities to get to know like minded people who are thinking similar issues through and to chat with experienced church leaders and workers who are able to share advice and wisdom. Anyone going on a conference must have the support of their church pastor.

There is a conference each year especially for ministry trainees and it is designed to encourage and equip them for gospel ministry.
