Co-Mission is a network of churches that is strongly evangelical, but broad in culture and diverse in style. The Co-Mission Training Scheme combines the unique context of each local church while offering training that unites around broadly applicable principles of gospel ministry.

As a Co-Mission Ministry Trainee you serve at one of the local churches in the network for 1-2 years with the aim of learning and experiencing full-time gospel ministry. You would be a man or woman, grounded in the gospel, with a desire to grow in your faith, serve a church, and be trained in full-time gospel ministry. The scheme aims to prepare people for a life-time of Christian ministry and spiritual leadership.

Ministry Trainees receive input from experienced pastors at established churches across London. They will be assigned to a trainer who provides follow-up mentoring. In addition, Richard Coekin, CEO of Co-Mission and Senior Pastor at Dundonald Church, Raynes Park, provides monthly training sessions in spiritual leadership. Being part of a church-planting network means Co-Mission Ministry Trainees have the opportunity of receiving training from men and women at different stages of planting churches. Uniquely, they gain first-hand knowledge of the joys and challenges that can accompany church planting as a pathway into possibly planting churches themselves.

“Deciding to do the trainee scheme is definitely a big step, however the encouragement, guidance and mentorship you receive from your congregation and the wider Co-Mission network is a real blessing. It will build and encourage you in your own spiritual life as you discern the Lord’s will, and step out in faith towards ministry.’ (Richard, trainee at All Saints Wandsworth)
