TUESDAY 2 – THURSDAY 4 JANUARY | HIGH LEIGH
“For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.”
In a world suspicious of power but hating weakness; full of knowledge but without any real wisdom; is the message of the Cross still enough? The Apostle Paul says it’s a resounding ‘YES!’. “Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.” (1 Cor 1:24-25) The message of the Cross is where the power is and the Cross is what must shape our ministry from the foundations up.
Maximise is designed to refresh, equip and embolden Christian men and women to make the most of their lives as they trust and proclaim the message of the Cross. We are looking forward to hearing from Richard Coekin and others as they teach us from God’s Word and exhort us to cling to Christ and serve in a way shaped by his Cross.
Bookings for the conference will open soon, you can watch previous conferences on our YouTube Channel, please hit subscribe.
Who’s it for?
Ministry trainees, students and workers
Maximise is for ministry trainees and anyone else who is considering the next step and who wants to be inspired and equipped to maximise your gospel ministry. During the conference, ministry trainees have the opportunity to give a practice talk and receive feedback from church leaders while other delegates will receive sessions exploring the foundations for Bible teaching.
Getting There
How do I get there?
By car: come off the M25 at Junction 25 and take the A10 north. Come off (about 6 miles later) at the Hoddesdon junction.
By train: the nearest station is Broxbourne, which is served by London Liverpool Street. It’s a two-mile walk from the station so if you have heavy luggage we recommend getting a taxi (approximately £6).
By plane: the closest airport is Stanstead. From there, you can catch the train to Broxbourne or it’s a forty-minute drive.
Is there free parking?
Yes, plenty of it.

Yes!
Like all the CCT Conference Centres, High Leigh is accessible for delegates with disabilities. Reception is just by the entrance on the ground floor; there are no steps between it and the car park. Our group sessions will take place in break-out rooms – some (though not all) of these will be on the ground floor.
We want to ensure that your time with us at Maximise is as stress-free as possible. If you need more details about accessibility at the conference, please get in touch and we will let you know the answers as soon as possible. Similarly, if you have any special requirements (such as an accessible bedroom, or for your group to meet in a break-out room on the ground floor), then you can let us know when you book, or by emailing.

Testimonials from Maximise
Maximise is an excellent combination of teaching which will make a trainee think about the future, as well as meeting other trainees and practice in teaching.
Maximise is pitched well, faithful to Scripture, aware of our Christian-culture’s foibles, thought-provoking, well-applied. Just a brilliant conference for raising up the next generation of workers, and helping them progress beyond us their trainers in their godliness, doctrine and ministry!
It’s been a great chance to pause and reflect on why we do all the ministry we do and a great spur for us to maximise that work and toil as teams on the ground for the growth of God’s Kingdom.
I don’t think there’s anything quite like Maximise that would cover the range of teaching and guidance needed for ministry trainees today.
The teaching from the main sessions was a fantastic, and a great encouragement to think about how each of us might do our “utmost for the Highest”! Really helpful to go to the Bible to understand the principles and priorities involved in teaching God’s Word, and to be reminded of the privilege and necessity of doing so.
