Do I have to give a practice talk?
Only if you're a ministry trainee. While the trainees are giving their practice talks, delegates will have separate teaching sessions.
How do the practice talks work?
Trainees will be placed in groups of five or six with an experienced leader. Each member of the group will give a ten-minute talk on a pre-assigned passage to the other members of their group. After the talk, your group leader and the other trainees will give you feedback.
When will I find out what passage to prepare?
We'll get in touch with your passage at the beginning of December (once bookings have closed and we're able to assign groups). We know that this is a very busy time of year for churches and trainees, so we recommend blocking out some time in your calendar in mid-December for talk preparation.
