Inha served as a trainee at a suburban church with between 250–499 members.
What part of your traineeship most encouraged you in your faith, and why?
To be working alongside godly men and women, seeing their faith lived out in life, has set a great example for me to be encouraged, challenged and to follow. It is a privilege that you can't experience in secular work.
What particularly challenged you as a ministry trainee?
Time management – as the church I serve at is very busy, and I did bible college studies part time as well, I had to learn to plan and manage time well.
Would you recommend becoming a ministry trainee? If so, why?
Even if you are not thinking of being in ministry full time later on, I believe it is extremely helpful to be a ministry trainee and to experience how pastors and staff spend their time toiling for the well being of the church.
What advice would you give to someone just starting out as an ministry trainee?
Don't say 'Yes' to everything! Soon you'll realise that you're juggling too many things, and some things are bound to drop!
Do you have a 9:38 story? We would love to hear from you.
