Maximise Speaker – Andrea Trevenna

Nine Thirty Eight

Andrea Trevenna is Associate for Women's Ministry at St Nicholas' Sevenoaks. She will be joining us as a speaker at Maximise in January. We caught up with Andrea recently to ask her some serious (and less serious!) questions...

What's God been teaching you recently?

I am very slow to learn and an ongoing lesson for me is understanding and accepting that I am not in control, God is and that that is a very good thing! God is continuing to teach me that I can trust that all the circumstances of my life, that I wouldn’t have chosen, are a gracious gift from Him that I can receive with a thankful heart, trusting that what he ordains is always what is best in his great plan of conforming me more into the likeness of his Son.

What's the most interesting place you've visited and why?

The most interesting place I have visited is Egypt, where I went on a two-week cruise down the Nile. It was amazing to think that had I been there many many years ago I could have met Joseph or Jacob when he was a very old man!

If you could only choose one song to play every time you walked into a room for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

I would choose The Hallelujah Chorus. Great words and it would make entering every room a very dramatic experience...although I suspect I may regret going for such a bold choice at the end of day 1 or 2!
